The bases for participation are the following:

Deadline for receiving complete applications: August 5th

  • The participant must send a manuscript with a complete description of the work (minimum and maximum length: 5 and 10 pages, respectively, in a free form in Spanish), along with the abstract required for the congress (please follow the required form) before the following deadline: August 5th to the e-mail address: [email protected]. Those entries received after the aforementioned deadline will not be considered for the award. The authors, both the presenting student and his (her) primary advisor, must sign a letter requesting the work to be included in the contest. This document must also state that the first author is a graduate student. Each primary advisor or laboratory head can sponsor only one student.
  • In order to be considered for this award, only those works submitted to be included as oral presentations will be selected. Abstracts of works to be presented in the poster sessions will not be included in the evaluation.

  • There will be an initial selection, where the work will or will not be selected for its oral presentation in the concurrent symposia by the Organizing Committee, depending on the number of received entries and the scope of the Congress program. Those works that were not selected in this first round will be presented in the poster sessions and will not take part in the next stages of the contest.
  • In the second round, the manuscripts and oral presentations will be judged by an Evaluating Committee, whose members will be selected by the Organizing Committee. In this round, the Evaluating Committee will choose the best participations in the oral presentations. Finally, they will draw the student that had presented the best manuscript, along with its best oral presentation.
  • The winner of the Founding Members Award will receive his (her) prize in the Closing Session of the Congress (October 20, 2022). Decisions made by the Evaluation Committee will be final. The Evaluation Committee could opt to award an Honorable Mention to a deserving participant.
